This year was the third time we've made Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory-style caramel apples with our friends the Felts for Halloween.
This year we had four couples there, we tried all new apple ideas, and we enjoyed the fruits (and candies) of our labors while watching "Arsenic and Old Lace."
This is a fun and easy treat--infinitely customizable. We always love dipping in caramel, then melted white chocolate, then crushed oreos. A favorite new one from this year was caramel, melted white or milk chocolate, then crushed graham cracker crust with cinnamon.
Basically, dip it in caramel, dip it in some kind of chocolate, and dip it in whatever other yummy thing you please--reese's pieces, chopped peanuts/pecans/walnuts, etc.
